For Northwest MLS Member-Realtors

The Commission and Down Payment Resource (DPR)® are collaborating to raise awareness and educate Northwest MLS member-Realtors on how to connect more homebuyers to Commission programs, through a new tool offered by Northwest MLS.

On Northwest MLS, Find Properties Eligible for Downpayment Assistance

Thanks to DPR, users of the Northwest Multiple Listing Service (MLS) can instantly see that a property is eligible for our downpayment and closing-cost assistance programs. DPR’s national databank of 2,500 local and state homebuyer programs, including 80-plus programs in Washington state, is now integrated into the listing database at Northwest MLS. Eligible properties are automatically flagged with a DPR icon. Click the icon to get up-to-date information about important down payment help for homebuyers.

Create Your Own Personal Lead-Generation Page

DPR’s Down Payment Connect tool gives NWMLS members a unique landing page where prospective clients can search for homeownership assistance programs. Once buyers complete the form and request more details, an email is delivered to you with their contact information.
Share your link on your personal website, email, signature, and social media pages to attract and educate new buyers. To find and share your link, see the Down Payment Connect User Guide for NWMLS Members (PDF).

How Does It Work?

DPR’s database uses a proprietary rules engine to match available property listings with downpayment-assistance programs and buyers can enter their information to determine their eligibility. Program information is updated each month to ensure accuracy.

What Do I Have to Do?

Nothing—just use Northwest MLS as you always have. Look for the DPR icon on property listings to see whether they are eligible for downpayment assistance—including the Commission’s downpayment-assistance programs. Our DPA programs are open to anyone using a Commission home loan (Home Advantage or House Key Opportunity).

Then, connect your homebuyers with a Commission-trained lender. You can find our Premier Lenders and a statewide list here.
