ONLINE TAX CREDIT COMPLIANCE "FUNDAMENTALS" WEBINAR

An introduction to the essentials required to preserve low-income housing tax credit compliance for Washington State compliance professionals.  Topics include federal regulations, state regulations and a case study.  A Certificate will be issued after successfully completing the entire workshop.

TAX CREDIT COMPLIANCE "ADVANCED" WORKSHOP

A focused look at and discussion of challenging issues faced by Low-Income Housing Tax Credit compliance professionals in Washington State. Several case studies will be covered in-depth. Topics will include self-employed applicants, special-needs issues, and common area unit clarification. Bring your calculator. To be eligible to take the advanced workshop you must have hands-on experience of at least one year; and, you must have taken a Commission-taught compliance workshop.

ONLINE BOND COMPLIANCE WEBINAR

This workshop is for WSHFC-issued tax-exempt bonds only. Topics include verifying and calculating income and assets; introduction to the latest Compliance forms and samples; financing overview for WSHFC-issued bonds; recognizing non-compliance; the compliance review process; student issues; and calculating income. 

If your property is part of the State Bond Program (see attached list), please contact your Portfolio Analyst prior to registering for this workshop.

PLACED-IN-SERVICE REQUIREMENT

Tax Credit properties that will place-in-service in any calendar year must have a management representative attend a tax credit compliance training sometime between the first and last buildings' placed-in-service dates.  Until further notice, the Commission will accept certificates of completion from other industry trainers in fulfillment ot this requirement.  Please email us at cworkshop@wshfc.org for a list of recommended trainings.  If your property's management agent recently attended a Commission tax credit compliance workshop or currently manages another tax credit property, please contact us to dicuss a possible waiver of this requirement.
