In-person Homebuyer Education Classes!

Dear Homebuyer Education Instructors,

Good news!!!

Effective January 3, 2023, due to the rescission of the COVID-19 emergency proclamation by the Washington State Governor's office, the Commission is pleased to announce the removal of COVID-19 restrictions for in-person Commission-sponsored homebuyer education classes.

The Commission will no longer require proof of vaccination and the Instructor Attestation form from instructors for in-person homebuyer education classes.

Please note: If you currently have a virtual homebuyer education class scheduled with us, we will keep it listed as virtual unless you cancel your virtual class and re-register as an in-person class. Again, classes must be either an in-person class or a virtual class – hybrid classes will not be allowed at this time.

In addition to our in-person and virtual Commission-sponsored classes, homebuyers still have the option of taking our approved online self-guided course via eHomeAmerica. The cost is $50 per person and each borrower must register separately and take the course individually. More information here.

All other terms and conditions to Commission sponsored homebuyer education classes still apply and can be found in Section 6 of the Home Advantage or House Key manual.

Thank you for your patience and partnership over the past few years of unprecedented challenges!
