EnergySpark Program Announcement

EnergySparkThe Washington State Housing Finance Commission is pleased to announce the new EnergySpark Program!

For a limited time: Borrowers may be eligible for an additional .250% off their Home Advantage first mortgage rate if they:

Purchase a newly constructed home that exceeds WA. State energy building standards (based on an energy assessment or is a NW Energy Star, LEED, Net Zero, Passive House, Built Green, Net Zero, or NGBS)
OR

Purchase an existing home and make modest improvements at purchase that increase the home’s efficiency by 10% based on a pre & post energy assessment.

Please note: The Commission may not be able to offer a .25% interest rate reduction on all days and on every rate.

In addition to the rate incentive for the borrower, Lenders will also have extended reservation time at no additional charge, when using the FHA 203k Streamline, EEM or Fannie Mae Energy Improvement Feature to include energy improvements on an existing home with the Home Advantage program.

Our typical lock is 60 days from reservation to delivery with our servicer.

We will allow up to 75 days to deliver with no extension fee, if the additional time is for borrowers making improvements through EnergySpark on an existing home

Please refer to the EnergySpark Manual for details on the program

Resources for Energy Audits, Green Building Standards & Marketing Materials also provided on the EnergySpark Manual Page: wshfc.org/sf/EnergySpark.htm
