FarmPAI Advisory Committee
The FarmPAI Advisory Committee reviews all applications to the FarmPAI program and approves allocations depending on application qualifications and criteria. The six current members have substantial farmland conservation, easement, and financing knowledge.
Now seeking: Members with lived experience! The advisory committee needs members who have lived experience as a beginning or historically underservedfarmer or rancher.

As a FarmPAI Advisory Committee Member, you will:
- Review applications from land trusts throughout the state who are working to protect farmland in perpetuity.
- Gain knowledge on the innerworkings of government revolving loan programs as well as other farmland centered organizations.
- Ensure that the fund allocation process remains unbiased and that the best projects are the ones receiving funds.
- Be compensated for your time.
What this position requires:
Time: A total of 14-18 hours annually will be spend reviewing applications and meeting with the committee to deliberate fund allocations. Members must commit to at least one year on the committee.
Remote work: Application review and committee meetings all take place through virtual meetings. Zero travel is required for this position.
Knowledge gained through lived experience: If you are a current or past farmer, especially if you are a member of a historically disadvantaged group, your perspective is needed to understand the barriers that farmers are facing to access farmland
