Property Management & Compliance

The Washington State Housing Finance Commission's (WSHFC) Property Management and Compliance Division oversees affordable multifamily housing properties financed through Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), tax-exempt bonds, and other public funding programs.

Its primary role is to work with property owners and managers and monitor these properties to ensure they remain financially viable, provide quality housing, and comply with federal regulations and WSHFC requirements. The division conducts compliance reviews, property inspections, resident file audits, reporting oversight, training, education, and technical assistance.
