Dr. Preston serves as the CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Washington State, a collaboration of 25 Habitat affiliates in the state of Washington. She holds a BA from Gonzaga University; an MA and an EdD from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and oversees Advocacy on a statewide basis for Habitat for Humanity. She formerly served as CEO of Habitat for Humanity in Spokane. She has served on countless housing and community committees including Chair of the Governor’s Affordable Housing Advisory Board, and the Legislative Homeownership Disparities Workgroup. Michone resides and farms in rural south Spokane and in Douglas Co. where she is an owner/operator of Preston Farms & Rock Shandy Cattle Company. She is passionate about advancing racial equity and building the capacity of affordable housing in all of Washington State.
