Rent Payment Support Guide (CSH) – An informational, non-state guide with tips to help renters understand rent obligations and manage payment challenges early.

Crisis & Mental Health Support 

For urgent help, call 2-1-1 to connect with a local specialist who can direct you to available resources. Other options: 

  • Crisis Connections – Access crisis lines for immediate support with basic needs, mental health, and emergency assistance. 

Financial & Housing Assistance 

  • Tenant-Based Rental Assistance- Federal funds to support communities by providing utility, deposit and ongoing rental assistance. Eligible households are referred to TBRA through local Coordinated Entry Systems 

  • Washington State’s Tenancy Preservation Program - State program that reduces homelessness by providing relief to low-income tenants facing eviction for non-payment of rent. Commerce will issue a zero-interest loan to landlords to preserve tenancy when a court finds the tenant eligible. Tenants must repay the loan in full to be eligible for future access to this program.
