This partnership with Ballmer Group uses no public funds, and will build 10,000 apartments that are sized for and affordable to families earning 50% of area median income, in communities large and small across the state. Ballmer Group announced a $1.5 billion commitment to the program, which offers forgivable loans to housing developers to incentivize affordable units. The Commission will close the loans and ensure compliance with rent and income limits, safety standards, etc. for 60 years.
