• Map of Affordable Housing Properties

  • Helps you find affordable housing, public housing agencies, and HUD-assisted properties, as well as other housing-related resources in your area.

• Rural Housing Rentals (USDA)

  • The USDA Rural Development Multi-Family Housing Rentals program offers affordable rental housing in rural areas, with potential rental assistance available. 

• Find a Housing Authority 

  • Check with your local housing authority. Search affordable housing, learn about tenant rights, explore budgeting support, and link to local housing services. 

• HUD Apartment Search

  • You can find local housing help using the official HUD Resource Locator to search for affordable apartments, public housing authorities, and local HUD offices.

Eviction & Legal Assistance

If you're facing eviction or need legal representation, the following organizations provide free legal help, tenant advocacy, and eviction defense services to help protect your housing rights.  

The Commission cannot help you with an eviction or with disputes you are having with your landlord.  Please contact the resources below for assistance.  

Legal Assistance Resources

Free Legal Aid & Tenant Rights Education 

These services offer legal advice, representation, and educational resources to help you understand your rights and options.  

Washington Law Help

• Free Legal Information & Court Forms 

• Get referrals to legal aid services  

• Access step-by-step guides and legal forms 

• Learn about evictions, tenant rights, security deposits, and repairs. 

Northwest Justice Project (NJP)

• Free Eviction Defense Services 

• If you are eligible, you will be connected to an attorney from Northwest Justice Project or another legal service provider that may be in your area. 

• Dial "211" in King County, 1-888-201-1014 outside of King County, 1-888-387-7111 for Seniors (age 60 and over)

• Toll Free Eviction Defense Screening line: 855-657-8387. This line will be active July 1st and is run by the Northwest Justice Project.

• Clients can also go to NJP's apply online site to begin the screening process for eviction help.

Tenants Union of Washington State

• Tenant Advocacy & Support 

• Learn about renter protections, eviction defense, and housing rights
